Call for Internal Research Grants for the year 2025–26

The Office of Research, Innovation & Commercialization (ORIC), Government College Women University Sialkot, is pleased to announce the *Call for Internal Research Grants for the year 2025–26*. All eligible faculty members are invited to submit innovative and high-quality research proposals.

Eligibility Criteria
The Principal Investigator (PI) must be a full-time regular faculty member of GCWUS holding a PhD degree.

Terms & Conditions

  1. The proposed research project must be genuinely novel with no plagiarized content, including self-plagiarism. A Turnitin Similarity Report (as per HEC rules, showing similarity index and AI limits) must be attached.
  2. The decision of GCWUS authorities regarding the approval, funding, evaluation, and monitoring of proposals shall be final.
  3. Any publication resulting from the project must acknowledge ORIC, GCWUS.
  4. The PI shall not replace him/herself and must complete the project; failure to do so may result in refund of the entire awarded amount.
  5. A PI availing leave for more than one month during the project period will be required to refund the total awarded amount.
  6. Budget utilization is not allowed after the project completion date.
  7. The Final Research Report and Audited Budget Utilization Report must be submitted within the project completion date.
  8. No honorarium will be awarded to the PI for delayed projects.
  9. No honorarium will be awarded to students, collaborators, or Co-PIs.
  10. The PI must organize one seminar/symposium relevant to the project for dissemination of knowledge, clearly acknowledging ORIC.
  11. The PI must submit at least one research proposal to an external funding agency (HEC or non-HEC) during the project duration.

*Important Timelines

  1. Proposal Submission Deadline: 01st December, 2025 (Not Extendable)
  2. Announcement of Selected Proposals: 15th December, 2025
  3. Project Completion Deadline: 15th June, 2026
  4. Final Research Report & Audited Budget Utilization Report: 22nd June, 2026 (Not Extendable)

Preference Criteria
Projects with industrial collaboration/funding or any external funding will be given preference.

Submission Details
Proposals must be submitted to ORIC using the prescribed formats in soft (oric@gcwus.edu.pk) and hard form (Room F3, Imam Bibi campus).
