Dr. Umara Rauf (Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology), presently working as an Assistant Professor in Department of Psychology, GC Women University, Sialkot. I have clinical skills of psychodiagnosis, psychological assessment, and psychotherapy for individuals with mental health problems including individuals with special needs. I clinically skilled in providing treatment for psychological problem using integrative and eclectic approaches (Emotive Therapy, Behaviour Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Brief Psychoanalytic therapy, and Rational Emotive Behaviour therapy). I have skills of research and presented many research papers in different national & international conferences in Pakistan. Further, I have research publications in national (HEC recognized) journals and in international peer reviewed journal. Have been invited as session chair, co-chair in conferences in Pakistan and as panel expert in different forums of mental health. I am certified as an International Certified Addiction Professional (ICAP-I) by International Society of Substance Use Professionals and Colombo Plan.
I joined GC Women University, Sialkot in December 4th, 2016 as a lecturer and have taught many subjects like, research methodology, psychopathology, ethical issues in psychology, psychological assessment, counselling psychology, clinical case reports, schools and perspectives, developmental psychology, positive psychology and psychology of education. I was assigned responsibility as an Incharge/Head of Department in 2018 and initiated self-support degree program for the promotion of female education in first women university of this region. With faithfulness, loyalty to my profession and with my full capacity, I will continue my efforts for the betterment of students and community as a teacher and as a mental health practitioner.
