Career Brief:

My area of specialization is plant physiology and bioremediation. I earned my M.Phil degree from Government College University Lahore. I joined Government College Women University Sialkot as a Lecturer in the Department of Botany (30-March-2022 to Date). Before that, I joined University of Narowal and Punjab Group of Colleges Zafarwal campus as Visiting Lecturer. I am interested to work on PGPR, plant-microbes interactions, environmental stresses on plants, and various strategies to mitigate them. I have participated in various national and international conferences and attended several workshops, seminars, and webinars. Currently, I am taking a special interest in studying the mitigation of temperature and salinity stresses on the growth of vegetable crops using thermophilic and halophilic bacteria.

  • Presented in 2nd International Conference on Plant Sciences (ICPS- 2018) on topic entitled as “Effect of seed priming with Silicon on germination and growth of Mungbean (Vigna radiata cv. NM-2006) under saline conditions at Government College University Lahore.
  • Presented in 1st international conference on “Recent Advances & Challenges in Basic and Social Sciences in Contemporary Research” at Govt. Post-Graduate Islamia College (W) Lahore on topic entitled as “Amelioration of harmful effects of chromium on growth, yield and some physiological parameters of tomato (Solanum lycopersicum cv. Veloz) using locally isolated chromium tolerant bacteria”.
