Career Brief:

I earned my Ph.D. in Plant Physiology from Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad, Pakistan. I also have done two Post Doctorates. Currently, I have a charge of Chairperson, Department of Botany-GCWUS. Before joining GCWUS, I have rich experience of serving in Quaid-i-Azam University, National Agricultural Research Centre (NARC), Allama Iqbal Open University Islamabad, Pakistan, Army public College, Islamabad College for of Girls (ICG).
I joined GCWUS as an Assistant Professor in 2015. Previously, I served as Director, Office of Research Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) (Department of Botany GCWUS), launch a new Academic program in Environmental Sciences and headed this department for three years. Moreover, I also served as Director Research (GCWUS). I have rich administrative experience at various key positions, and currently working as an active member of many important committees.
I have presented my research on many National and International plate forms and won many awards and honors. I have produced a total of 19 MS students, and currently supervising 6 MS students. My research focuses on various aspects in Microbiology, Plant-Microbe Interaction, Plant Physiology, Stress Physiology, Environmental Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, and Biochemistry. I also have completed many funded projects and currently dealing with a project on COVID-19 funded by HEC under COVID-19 Challenge Fund.
I am also serving as Chief Editor of Journal Plant and Environment published by the Department of Botany GCWUS and as an Editor in the International Journal of Genes & Cells. I have published my many full-length research articles in various well reputed National and International Journals. I have organized and attended various workshops and training as well.
