Dr. Saadia Shaukat received her MPhil degree with specialization in Physical Chemistry in 2007 with distinction from Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad. She obtained PhD degree on “Hydration, ion binding and self-aggregation of choline and choline-based surfactants†in 2013 from Institute for Physical and Theoretical Chemistry, Regensburg University, Germany under supervision of Prof. Dr. Richard Buchner. She worked as Assistant Professor of Physical Chemistry at Lahore College for Women University, Lahore (August 2013-August 2014) and Forman Christian College (A Chartered University), Lahore (January 2017-June 2018). She joined GC Women University Sialkot as Assistant Professor of Physical Chemistry in August 2018. Her research interests include:
She attended several national and international conferences where she presented her work in form of poster and oral presentations. In May 2010, she was selected for BOGS-Scholarship offered by German Academy of Sciences Leopoldina for young scientists to participate in the Leopoldina-Symposium held in Bochum/Germany. She received poster presentation award for her poster titled “Dielectric Relaxation Spectroscopy of the Biocompatible Surfactants Choline Dodecylsulfate and Choline Dodecanoate†presented at “EMLG/JMLG Annual Meeting 2011†held in Warsaw/Poland, 11th – 15th September, 2011. She was awarded with honorary membership of EMLG/JMLG from September 2011 to August 2012.She published research articles in reputed international journals.
