Dr. Robina Ashraf is currently working as Lecturer at Department of Physics, GC Women University, Sialkot. Academically, she has earned Doctoral Degree (2018) in Solid State Physics (with area of specialization in Solid State Physics/ Nanotechnology) from COE in Solid State Physics (SSP), University of the Punjab (PU), Lahore; M.Phil. (2010) in Solid State Physics from COE in SSP, PU, Lahore, and M.Sc. in Physics (2008) from Department of Physics, PU, Lahore. Overall, she has over more than 10 years Research and Teaching Experience. She started her career in PU, Lahore as Research Assistant in 2009. From 2010 to 2011 she worked as College teacher internee at Department of Physics, Post graduate college for Women, Sialkot. From November 2011 to February 2013, she served as Sr. research Assistant at COE in SSP, PU, Lahore. From February 2013 to March 2018 she performed her duties as lecturer/Research Associate at the same department. From 2018 till date, she is working as Lecturer and teaching BS, MSc, MPhil and PhD students at Department of Physics, GC Women University, Sialkot. She also served as Assistant Superintendent at Girls Hostel 7 in PU, Lahore from 2011 to 2014.
She has carried out her research work on experimental investigations of iron oxide nanostructures and their correlation with theory. She has 10 publications in HEC recognized journals and having impact factor above 12 on her credit. She also presented 44 research papers in different National (Pakistan) and International conferences (China, Dubai, Taiwan and Korea). Her research interests include Nanotechnology and Material Physics (experimental and theoretical) studies. She has co-supervised 3 MS Research students. Presently, she is supervising 2 MS research students. She is actively involved in conducting different projects at BS and MSc level and till now 5 different groups of approximately 5 students in each group has completed their research projects under her supervision. Dr. Robina Ashraf has been appointed as external examiner for MPhil exams. She is also a lifetime member of Society for Solid State Physics. She is internal member of Board of Studies from 2020 to 2023. She is also performing her duties as semester coordinator of session 2017-2021, member admission committee, in-charge Physics Society, Member Program Team of QEC and Time Table in charge in Department of Physics, GC Women University, Sialkot.
