Professional History:
Dr. Mahwish Bashir is an Assistant Professor in the Physics Department at GC Women
University, Sialkot. Holding a PhD in Solid State Physics/Nanotechnology from the
University of the Punjab, Lahore, she teaches various physics courses, supervises numerous
research scholars, and actively contributes to university committees. Her research interests lie
in material processing and engineering, particularly energy materials and metal oxide
applications in biomedical and electronics. She has published 25 papers in HEC-recognized
journals (with an impact factor of 50), presented over 50 conference papers, and supervised
the research of 20 MS students and currently guides 6 MS and 4 PhD students. Dr. Bashir is
also involved in undergraduate and master's level research projects and participates in several
university committees, including the science society, women development center, purchase
committee, and the tutorial and dramatic club.
