Dr. Babar Shahzad Khan (PhD), born in Abbottabad, KPK, obtained his M. Phil degree from Hazara University, Mansehra in Physics. He gained his doctorate degree majoring in material science/nanoscience and nanotechnology from Nanoresearch centre, Central China Normal University (CCNU), Wuhan, Hubei Province, China in 2015, and awarded with Outstanding Academic Achievement Award and Excellent PhD Scholar Award for the year 2014 and 2015, respectively from CCNU. From 2015 to 2016, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the project entitled “Fundamental Research on Nanocarbon-oxide High-temperature Composites†at State Key Laboratory of Refractories and Metallurgy, Wuhan University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, Hubei Province, China. He joined this esteemed institute in 2016 and currently, working as Assistant Professor in the department of Physics, GCWUS. He teachs various courses of Physics, supervise number of research scholars and actively participating in the departmental and university’s committees.
His research areas include Material processing and engineering, composite material science, which further include new techniques of material synthesiz and processing, research on energy materials preparation as well as their relation between structure and performance. Preparation of refractories and find their physical and chemical properties, computer simulation performance by Molecular Dynamic code dyne86 and Density Functional Theory (DFT) code VASP. He has published more than 20 articles in SCI/international journals with impact factor over 30. Furthermore, he is actively participating in conferences/workshops at national and international level.
