Career Brief:

Climate change and different types of biotic and abiotic stresses are major global concerns that directly affect the crops growth and production. To meet the challenges of food security, it is very imperious to find out the causes and mechanisms of stress-affected plants on cell and molecular level and develop the strategies to overcome adverse effects of stresses on crops to achieve maximum productivity. My current interests are related to finding different strategies to overcome or minimize stress adversarial effects and enhance their tolerance by screening methods, genetic engineering, and short gun approaches.

Dr. Robina Aziz is Ph.D. in Botany from the University of Agriculture Faisalabad. Her major specialization of the research area is Plant Physiology, Plant Stress Physiology. She joined this esteemed institute in 2015 and currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Botany, GCWUS. She has been involved in teaching both at the undergraduate and postgraduate level and has supervised BS/M.Sc final year projects as well as 7 MS/M.Phil research thesis. She is also working as a member of different committees and statuary bodies at the Department and University level. She has attended many conferences, workshops, training, and webinars.
