Department of fine arts of Government College Women University Sialkot, took initiative of social community services, and conducted a productive workshop of Tie & Dye under the supervision of Incharge Assistant Professor Mr. Raza-ur Rahman. The chief instructor of this workshop was Assistant Professor Miss Nida Iftikhar, who shared methods and techniques of Tie & Dye. The workshop was beneficial for the capacity building of needy communities to establish their entrepreneur career by utilizing the knowledge and methods, imparted by the diligent and experienced instructor. More than fifteen women from all walks of life participated, and successfully completed all the traditional techniques and methods of Tie & Dye. Dr. Maryum President Women Chamber of Commerce and Industries Sialkot, visited and communicated with the participant how they can avail various opportunities regarding their entrepreneur career. Ms. Syeda Shahbeena Gillani, vice chairperson of Small and Medium Enterprises Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industries, motivated women to establish their own small businesses. Department of Fine Arts receives accolades from distinguished guests, who appreciated the objective of Community Services especially women empowerment. Incharge, Mr. Raza-ur Rahman not only wants to teach students, but also has faith in delivering skill based knowledge to the people of Sialkot. The Vice Chancellor of GC Women University Sialkot, Prof. Dr. Rukhsana Kausar grace the occasion of certificate giving ceremony at the end of workshop. The Vice Chancellor has always patronage such activities, and creative workshops of Fine Arts to empower women. Department of Fine arts believe in organising more productive workshops in future under the auspice of worthy Vice Chancellor.
