4 th Convocation of Govt. College Women University, Sialkot for graduates of BS Session (2016- 2020), M.A/M.Sc Session (2018-2020) and MS Session (2017-19) was organized by the Office of the Controller of Examinations on Wednesday 25 th January, 2023 in G2 Marquee, Tariq Road, Sialkot. Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir, Chairman Punjab Higher Education Commission, Punjab was the Chief Guest of the convocation. Former Chairman Punjab Higher Education Commission, Prof. Dr. Nizam ud Din, Former Vice Chancellor, GC Women University Sialkot & Prof. Dr. Farhat Saleemi, President Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Abdul Ghafoor Malik; President, Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sialkot, Dr. Mariam Nouman, President Alumni Association, GC Women University, Sialkot, Ms Azra Sabtain and Dignitaries of Sialkot City also were also invited as guest in the convocation.
Chief Guest (Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir, Chairman Punjab Higher Education Commission, Punjab, Vice Chancellor (Prof. Dr. Rukhsana Kausar), Former Chairman Punjab Higher Education Commission, Punjab (Prof. Dr. Nizam ud Din) Former Vice Chancellor of Govt. College Women University, Sialkot (Prof. Dr. Farhat Saleemi), Controller of Examinations (Mr. Gulshan Aslam), Registrar (Ms. Attiya Almas), Incharge, faculty of Administrative and Management Sciences (Dr. Muhammad Ilyas), Incharge faculty of Arts & Social Sciences (Dr. Muhammad Afzaal Butt) and Incharge of faculty of Natural Science (Dr. Zarrin Fatima Rizvi) were seated on the stage. The convocation ceremony was started by the recitation of Holy Quran. Prof. Dr. Rukhsana Kausar, Vice Chancellor of Govt. College Women University Sialkot presented the welcome address & annual report. 1535 graduates including 1148 Graduates of BS (2016-2020), 276 Graduates of M.A/ M.Sc (2018- 2020) and 111 Graduates of MS (2017-2019) of faculty of Natural Sciences, Administrative & Management Sciences, and Arts and Social Sciences received their degrees. 182 graduates were
awarded with Medals and Roll of Honors, including 56 gold medals and silver medals. Ms. Waleeha Chaudhary, a student of Department of Business Administration was awarded with the Allama Iqbal Gold medal as she obtained highest CGPA among all position holders. The Chief Guest, Vice Chancellor, Controller of Examinations, Registrar & Incharge of faculties presented the Medals to the position holders.
The chief guest expressed his views and congratulated the passed out students. Shields were presented to the guests of honours; Prof. Dr. Nizam ud Din (Former Chairman Punjab Higher Education Commission), Prof. Dr. Farhat Saleemi (Former Vice Chancellor, GC Women University Sialkot), Dr. Mahmood Saleem, (Vice Chancellor, Meer Chakar Khan University, Dera Ghazi Khan), Mr. Syed Kamal Abid (Regional Emergency Officer, Gujranwala), Mr. Asad Ijaz (President Seerah Study Center)), Ms. Jazeela (District & Session Judge, Sialkot), Prof. Dr. Haris Rasheed, (Former Dean, Faculty of Natural Sciences), Prof. Naila Arshad (Former Dean, Faculty of Arts &Social Sciences), Ms. Azra Sabtain (President Alumni Association, GC Women University, Sialkot), Ms. Fahmeeda Dar and Ms. Tahira Abbas (Executive Members of Alumni Association) & Controller of Examinations (Mr. Gulshan Aslam). Moreover, Souvenirs were presented to the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Rukhsana Kausar & Chief Guest, Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir. Guests, Faculty Members & students are served with the lunch.
