Istakshaf Chemical society Organized an informative seminar for students. Dr. Mohammad Saeed Iqbal, Professor at Department of Chemistry, Forman Christian College ,a Charted University, Lahore delivered lecture on “Gold – from jewelry to medicine”. Dr.Muhammad saeed Iqbal is a fellow of IUPAC, Pakistan institute of Chemist and also a life member of chemical society of Pakistan. He played a key role in establishing pharmaceutical departments in various universities. Various patents has been associated with his name. The purpose of this event was to enhance the knowledge of students about recent trends of research in Chemistry. The seminar held on 14th of November, 2018 at 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. in auditorium. He described various methods of isolation of gold and its pharmaceutical importance The talk was very impressive ,informative and students showed a lot of interest in his talk. At the end shield was presented to the speaker by Hafiz Muhammad Khalil Ahmed ;Vice Chancellor of GC Women University ,Sialkot.
