Career Brief:

Dr. Tayyaba Shahzadi obtained her M.Sc. degree with specialization in Organic Chemistry in 2005, from University of the Punjab, Lahore. She did M.Phil from GC University, Lahore in 2008 and earned her Ph.D degree from GC University, Lahore in 2013 in the field of Organic Chemistry. Major areas of her interest are:

  • Isolation of various bioactive compounds from natural plant and study of their biological activities, some of structural modifications of various natural molecules to ascertain their structure-activity relationships.
  • Synthesis of metal oxides nanoparticles and nanocomposites and their applications in sensing of toxic metals, photodegradation of industrial wastes/organic pollutants/pesticides and their biological activities.

She has about 32 publications in international and national Journals and attended several international and national conferences and symposia. She is life-time member of Chemical Society of Pakistan and International Scientific Organization.
