Dr. Hafiz Muhammad Abd ur Rahman is an HEC approved Ph.D supervisor. He did his B.Sc from Govt. College University, Lahore in 2003. After graduation, he moved to Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad from where he obtained an M. Phil degree in physical chemistry in 2007. He obtained PhD degree on “Dielctric Spectroscopy of the Hydration of Organic Anions as Models for Anionic Residues of Biomolecules†in 2012 from Institute for Physical and Theoretical Chemistry, Regensburg University, Germany under supervision of Prof. Dr. Richard Buchner. He did post-doctorate from Regensburg University, Germany where he worked on Ionic Liquids in close collaboration with BASF. He worked at Forman Christian College (A Chartered University), Lahore as Assistant Professor of Physical Chemistry from August 2013 to 2018. He received 3 research grants under NRPU program of HEC as PI and Co-PI. He attended several national and international conferences where he presented his work in form of poster and oral presentations. In February 2010, he received best poster presentation award in physical chemistry in 8th International and 20th National chemistry conference held in Islamabad. Same year in May, he was selected for BOGS-Scholarship offered by German Academy of Sciences Leopoldina for young scientists to participate in the Leopoldina-Symposium held in Bochum/Germany. He published 17 research articles in reputed international journals with a cumulative impact factor of 42.86. He is a life-time member of The Chemical Society of Pakistan.
