Eligibility Criteria:

  • Each semester was asked to submit nominations for each post of Executive Council i.e. President, Vice-President, Treasurer and General Secretary.
  • Each semester nominated 3-4 Girls for each respective post.
  • The final two nominations for each respective post was then shortlisted through popular vote by the respective semester.

Following is the format of Composition of each University Societies:

  • (Ex- Officio Members)
  • Patron in Chief (VC)
  • Patron (Director SA)
  • In charge (Faculty member/s)

Following will be elected by and within the students:

  • President
  • Vice President
  • Secretary
  • Executive Members
    (One from each faculty + 1 Nominated Member by VC)

List of University Societies:

  1. Debating Society (English & Urdu)
  2. Dramatic Society
  3. Sports Society
  4. Social Work Society

Criteria for Society Membership:

  • Every registered student of university can become the member.
  • Membership fee (1000 annually)*

List of University Societies:

  • Every registered / regular university student can vote in the University Societies’ elections.
  • For the office bearer, the students of following semesters are eligible to contest:
  • President:   Students from 7th and 8th semesters only
  • Vice President:   Students from 5th semester and onwards
  • Secretary:   Students from 5th semester and onwards
  • Executive members:    Open for all semesters

Rules for Election Campaigns:

  • Election campaigns will be organized on the given dates provided by the Election Commission of the University (Dept. of Political Science).
  • Individual campaigns will be allowed to the competing members.
  • Time for the final debate day will be provided by the Election Commission of the University (Dept. of Political Science).
  • Competing members are not allowed to display banners and flexes, they can utilize display charts instead.

Election Campaign Ethics:

  • ECandidates are required to follow university’s code of conduct during elections.
  • Offensive language and actions will not be allowed.
  • Candidates are solely responsible for the conduct and management of their campaigns.
  • Students are required to treat all the students and staff with respect.
  • Any campaigns conducted on campus must be done in a manner that does not cause any obstruction or unreasonable disruption to the classes generally and particularly.
