Corruption poses an enormous obstacle to a nation’s development and the global goal of ending extreme poverty. Using public power for private gain is unjust. It denies resources to the poor, undermines the delivery of services to the vulnerable, and weakens the social contract, leading to exclusion, instability, and conflict. If we’re to tackle corruption effectively, we must identify and understand the systemic drivers that enable corrupt practices to thrive and reproduce.
To celebrate anti-corruption week December 06-12, 2021, the Character Building Society and Director, of Student Affairs organized various events in collaboration with different societies of the university hoping to make awareness among students on the big global challenges of our time. The various events held by the societies were, Declamation Contest organized by the English Debating Society, Urdu and English Essay Writing competition by Writer’s Club, Urdu Debating Contest by the Urdu Debating Society, a Seminar by the Character Building Society, a Poster competition by Art and Cultural Society, and an Awareness Walk by Character Building Society. The active participation and excitement of the students in these events showed their commitment to the truly prosperous and secure future of their beloved country.
Following is the detail of the winners of these events.
