It is the long tradition of Economics Department of GCWU, Sialkot to organize various curricular and co-curricular activities to broaden the vision of the students. The Department organized “Technology & Growth Festival†to high spot the role of technology in growth on Friday, 03, 2019. The main objective of this event was to highlight the evidence of technology’s role in economic growth among students. To aware them that Growth in living standards is so wrapped up with technological progress that often the two are indistinguishable and also to articulate them practically that modern inventions have changed the ways in which goods are produced, enabling workers to produce immensely more than they did a few generations ago because technological progress has also allowed us to consume new goods and services ranging from air travel to zippers, that did not exist in the begnninig of the 20th century.
Festival stared formally at 11:00am in the economics department corridor that was decorated with student of different technology stalls that were as follows

Festival stared formally at 11:00am in the economics department corridor that was decorated with student of differ Additional Controller of examination Malik Gulshan Aslam, QEC Director Mr Ijaz Ahmed, Director of Research & Chairperson of Economics Department Dr. Muhammad Ilyas & Worthy Judges (Assistant Professor Mrs. Gulzaib, Assistant Professor Mrs. Lubna Tabassum and Lecturer Ms. Sana butt) visited the stalls. They highly appreciated the students for highlighting different sector technologies with CBA(cost benefit analysis).
Mrs. Gulzaib, Mrs. Lubna Tabassum Ms. Sana butt & Mrs. Munaza Akhtar distributed the prizes among winning students. The Event was organized by lecturer Syeda Tusaied Zahra.
