Prof. Dr. Shahid Qamar (He is a Research Scientist at James Graham Brown Cancer Center, USA and conducting research on Breast Cancer. He also teaches Physics at John Hopkins University.
Dr. Qamar obtained his MS in Physics from Punjab University, M.Phil. in Physics from Quaid-e-Azam University and the Ph.D. in BioPhysics from Arizona State University, USA. Dr. Qamar has more than 25 years of research and teaching experience that he earned from Pakistan and US Universities.
Dr. Qamar is very actively involved in social and community-based projects in the US since he moved to there in 1995 but he kept his strong connections to Pakistan via his educational and social projects. Dr. Qamar is involved in multiple educational projects in Pakistan and is a founder of Pakistan Society for Computational Science, High School Summer Science Research Program and Teach a Kid Make Individual Life (TAKMIL), a nonprofit organization. He is a business entrepreneur and social entrepreneur, as well.)
The Main purpose of this seminar is to motivate students and faculty that world is full of opportunities, one must know the right strategy to approach those opportunities and of course with the best positive progressive mindset.
