Economics

The Department of Economics, an integral part of the field of social sciences was established in 2010, but the origin of the department can be traced back to the establishment of college when it was taught as an elective subject at Intermediate and B.A/B.Sc levels. The Department of Economics has designed rigorous and structured Undergraduate and Postgraduate Degree Programs which meet the requirements of all nationally and internationally recognized programs of study.

The Department of Economics has a vibrant collection of regular and visiting teaching faculty, offering a challenging and stimulating study and research experience to the students. Presently more than 250 students are enrolled in BS and MS programs. The students have access to all facilities and resources needed for better education including library and computer lab.

The Department of Economics is on the move. We are making further improvements in our curriculum for students’ refinement and excellence.
