Program Description:

As the name suggests, at GCWUS this school follows on from the academic courses and is intended to complete the education which focuses primarily on etiquette. Social skills and cultural norms are introduced to prepare young ladies for entry into the adult society.  GCWUS is the only university in Sialkot instilling this awareness in young females. The goal is to produce distinguished, talented, educated, polished and refined young ladies.

Curriculum

The curriculum consisting of 6 modules is designed to equip the young females with social graces and life supporting skills. It consists of an intensive course and is taught in the eighth semester.

The Art of Communication

Good communication skills are important for success in every field of life. In today’s highly competitive world it has become increasingly important to have effective communication skills. Our aim is to hone the communication skills of the students for better relationships and good career. The goal is to prepare the students to reach higher levels of mutual understanding and cooperation so that they can attain their goals. The module includes:

IT Skills

This course is specifically designed for the non-IT persons. The course includes the office tools which will help students do their academic work such as assignments, presentations and posters etc. in an efficient and easy way. An introduction to the most fascinating technology-Internet is also a part of this course so students can learn how to use this technology in best way to socialize and to get the required information out of it.

Social Graces

Social graces are skills used to interact politely in social situations. They include manners, etiquette (the specific accepted rules within a culture for the application of universal manners), deportment and fashion. The image one projects to the world relies on many things, and having social graces is one of the most important. In today’s changing times, one should adapt to the new demands in the social and professional arenas. This course will “refresh” the student’s know-how of essential social graces and provide them with new information on how to capitalize on these in a professional set-up. They will   become more refined, proficient, and highly admirable as proper etiquette is still the cornerstone of a successful image. We aim to instill these values in the pupils for the achievement of their personal and professional goals.

Learning is constant process that makes a human being more refined and disciplined as time goes by. This course is designed to enable students to be more presentable. It will play a vital role in their character building. Students will learn to improve their personality by exhibiting proper dining manners and will feel more confident. This course will clearly affect the personality of the individual in a considerable manner.
